Cynthia Dawn Margolis was born in October, 1965, in Los Angeles, California. She attended California State University where she first garnered the attention of talent agents in a unique way. During the peak of her career, her image was downloaded over 70,000 times during a 24 hour period. The Guinness Book of Records bestowed the title ‘Most Downloaded Woman on the Internet’ to her in 2000, even though they were unable to accurately measure the statistics. However, the record was broken in 2005 by the model Danni Ashe when Guinness confirmed that her image had been downloaded a billion times. It is interesting to note that unlike other popular models, Cindy became such a successful icon by not posing nude.
Cindy has gone on to do other projects in media. She had a bit part as a fembot in the first Austin Powers movie. She has appeared in 2006 on the television show Celebrity Cooking Showdown where she and Wolfgang Puck ended up winning the contest. In 2000 she hosted her own show The Cindy Margolis Show, filmed in Miami Beach.
