Since her strong showings in 2003, Clonie Gowan has been a presence on the poker circuit -- and just as much in the online poker business.

Clonie Gowan Fun Facts

"Clonie" is short for Cyclona, which is Clonie Gowan's birth name. Clonie Gowan was born in Florida and, as the story goes, she was born in the middle of a storm. She spent most of her childhood in Kiowa, Oklahoma. Clonie won a local Oklahoma beauty pageant by the time she was 15, but moved to Coriscana, Texas by her high school years. In high school, Clonie was an athlete, where she enjoyed the competition of basketball and track & field (high jump).

Clonie Gowen has two children these days and lives in Sachse, Texas, a suburb about 30 to 45 minutes from downtown Dallas. Because it's illegal to play poker in the DFW area without driving an hour-and-a-half to Oklahoma or twice that time to Louisiana, Clonie Gowan mainly plays online poker when at home.
