Jennifer Leigh first got noticed in the online poker world by playing at Pokerstars. One of Leigh's big poker accomplishments is to build a $5 buy-in amount at Pokerstars.com into enough of a bankroll to regularly play $100/$200 blinds in cash games. Helping the bankroll was a cash finish at the World Championship of Online Poker, which has a $1,000 buy-in and the commensurate payouts.

The Poker Royale series has become one of the more interesting poker events in recent years. The latest event involved the Battle of the Ages, pitting six players under 30 against six players over 60. The players were paid a bounty for taking down opponents.

Of course, Jennifer Leigh was one of the under-30 poker players. Jennicide finished 5th in the Poker Royale tournament after a 1st place finish in preliminary match #6 (against Dan Harrington, Dutch Boyd, John Cernuto and Erin Ness, among others). Jennifer Leigh eventually gained the 5th spot in the overall tournament, which was won by Dan Harrington.

Jennifer Leigh - Poker Online

Jennifer "Jennicide" Leigh came to poker after meeting the brother of Dutch Boyd, Robert Boyd, online. The two met at the Internet Relay Chat, one of the oldest online chats (1988) and technically older than what most people know as the internet. Jennicide is known to have knowledge of two different programmer languages: C# and Linux. Jennifer Leigh is thought to have taken part in beige boxing, which is the art of tapping into other peoples' phone lines -- sort of like Matthew Broderick in War Games.

Given her love of games and love of computers, it was only a matter of time before Jennifer Leigh tried out online poker. With one of the most colorful nicknames and colorful back stories of all the women of poker, Jennifer "Jennicide" Leigh should be a recognizable name in online poker for the next several years, at least.
